What did you like about photographing this house? The way the light enters each room, and how the owner mixed ifferent materials and textures — and the location! Do you like to spend time in the country? I love walking in the woods with my children and our dogs — we also love to go bike riding too.

What is your favourite country town? South Arm in Tasmania. At the milk bar there’s a blackboard announcing births, deaths and marriages. My older sister lives in South Arm and my nephew’s name
was up on the board when he was born.
What is your favourite country journey?
The Midland Highway from Hobart to Launceston.
It’s barren, with lots of rolling hills and dead trees
and sky; I find it meditative and comforting.
